The United Women of Rivers State, USA Inc. (UWORS), formed in the United States of America in August 2019, is a non-profit organization established primarily for the execution of charitable and educational causes, to include the promotion of women and cultural awareness activities.
UWORS functions as an exempt organization under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law).
Empowering our community through philanthropy is at the heart of what we do. We organize and participate in various charitable events and projects, ranging from health and wellness initiatives to educational scholarships.
We believe in the power of connection. Through our social events, workshops, and seminars, we provide a platform for networking, mentorship, and personal development.
Education is key to personal and collective growth. We support educational causes, provide resources, and offer scholarships to Rivers State women pursuing academic excellence.
Preserving and celebrating our rich Rivers heritage is a cornerstone of our organization. We host cultural events, workshops, and exhibitions to promote awareness and appreciation.
The United Women of Rivers State will foster peace, progress, and prosperity of Rivers State and its people, in America and Nigeria.
We will Celebrate Rivers State and uplift River’s women through the execution of sanctioned functions and activities.
